What You’ll Learn
In this guide, you’ll learn how to:
- Log in to SBCX
- Enter your credentials and verification code
- Troubleshoot common login problems
- Reset your password if needed
Part 1: Logging In to SBCX
Step 1: Go to the Login Page
Visit https://osdbu.hhs.gov and select Login.
Step 2: Enter Your Username and Password
Use the email address you registered with as your username. Then enter your password.
Your password must include:
8+ characters
At least one uppercase letter
At least one lowercase letter
At least one number
One valid special character
Valid special characters:
- ? ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) - _
Invalid characters:
- + = | [ ] { } < > / \ ~ and most other punctuation marks
You have 5 tries before your account locks.

Step 3: Enter the Verification Code
Check your email for a temporary code from noreply@mysbcx.hhs.gov.
The code expires after 30 minutes.

Part 2: If You Can't Sign In
If your account is disabled (inactivity or too many login attempts)
Submit a ticket to the SBCX Help Desk to reactivate your account.
If you see a “Not approved for access” message
This usually means your account is not yet approved.
- Business users → Contact your SAM.gov Government Business POC to activate your SBCX account.
- Business Administrators / SAM POC → Submit a ticket to the SBCX Help Desk if your account is disabled or mismatched with SAM.
- Government users → Submit a ticket to the SBCX Help Desk.
Part 3: Resetting Your Password
If you forgot your password
- On the login screen, select Forgot Password.
- Enter your registered email address.
- Check your inbox for the reset link.
- Copy the temporary password.
- Log in to SBCX.
- Use the temporary password to create a new password.
